Chinki Chubo
A moment to unwind in the city.
From the numbing hum of mala knife-cut noodles to black vinegar sweet and sour pork sets and after-work drink pairings, Chinki Chubo serves hearty Chinese comfort food.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
A bowl of mala knife-cut noodles arrives with the telltale fragrance of Sichuan pepper drifting from the broth, its fiery sting backed by deep, savoury depth. Thick, chewy ribbons of knife-cut dough cling generously to the soup, delivering plenty of bite alongside their tingling heat. Pair them with a mini mixed fried rice—tossed until fragrant and loose-grained—for a balanced lunch that plays aromatic spice against savoury char.
Just as sought after is the Shanghai-style black vinegar pork set meal. Crisp-fried pork and tender-crisp vegetables are coated in a glossy, full-bodied black vinegar glaze with enough punch to make short work of a bowl of steamed rice. The set comes rounded out with soup, salad, pickles, and dessert, making it a dependable choice when you want a complete, filling meal.
In the evening, the value-led Otsukare-sama set caters to those unwinding after work with a drink 1 and your pick of 2 small plates. Draught beer or a highball pairs effortlessly with appetisers like mouthwatering chicken in chilli oil or steamed dumplings. With seating that stretches comfortably into the back, Chinki Chubo adapts easily whether you settle in for a relaxed set meal or gather over shared dishes and glasses late in the day.
